ODS Announces Changes to Our Leadership Team

Chandra Wahrgren has been with ODS for nine years and will transition from the role of Director, Account Services overseeing the administrative services and management of ODS’ existing business to the position of Director, Pharmaceutical Programs. 

In her new role, Chandra will oversee current operations and the significant expansion of ODS’ pharmaceutical programs in Oregon, and Washington. 

In Chandra, we are fortunate to have a seasoned ODS Director with considerable experience in marketing, operations and pharmacy to take on this management role that is so critical to the success of our pharmaceutical programs. 

It is our pleasure to announce Jeff Akers as the new director of account services.

Akers brings more than 17 years of experience in employee benefits and health insurance to his position, and has worked previously at Providence Health Plans, Regence Blue Cross Blue Shield of Oregon and Regence Life and Health Insurance Company.  Most recently, Akers served as vice president of sales and marketing for Complementary Healthcare Plans.

Akers is excited to build new relationships while continuing to provide excellent service to all ODS customers.

A native Oregonian, Akers earned his bachelor of science degree in economics from Oregon State University and later, earned a second bachelor of science degree in business administration from Portland State University. He also completed the Stanford University Graduate School of Business’ Executive Management Program.
