Moda Select Network
You have a lot to think about when choosing the right medical benefits for you and your family. Our Moda Health Individual plans, provided by Moda Health Plan, Inc., give you access to quality medical services, including clinics, labs and hospitals in Alaska. Starting January 1, 2026, the Pioneer Network will be renamed to the Moda Select Network. This is a name change only. You’ll receive the best care and value when you choose healthcare providers and services from the Moda Select Network.
The Moda Select Network covers members residing in the following boroughs: Municipality of Anchorage, Fairbanks North Star, Haines, Kenai Peninsula, Ketchikan Gateway, Mat-Su, Petersburg, Municipality of Skagway, City of Juneau, City of Sitka, City of Wrangell, Hoonah-Angoon Census Area, and Prince of Wales-Hyder Census Area.
Alaska Moda Select Network
With the Moda Select Network, you’ll enjoy access to a network of trusted providers in Alaska. This is a three-tier network, and you’re encouraged to receive care from providers in Tier I, where you’ll pay the least amount for care.
Tier one
Receive the best benefit by using Tier One providers. You’ll pay the least amount for care. Includes:
- Central Peninsula Hospital
- Alaska Regional Hospital
- Bartlett Regional Hospital
- Fairbanks Memorial Hospital
- Mat-Su Regional Medical Center
- PeaceHealth Ketchikan Medical Center
- South Peninsula Hospital
- And other contracted providers. See our Tier I providers available in your area.
Tier two
- Includes First Choice Network in Alaska
Tier three
- Tier III is out of network. You’ll pay the highest amount for care.
- Includes all other Alaska providers not in Tier One or Tier Two
- Providers can balance bill additional charges
Outside of Alaska includes:
Services received outside Alaska are covered at the Tier One benefit level through providers in the Aetna® PPO Network.
When you’re traveling outside of Alaska, you’ll have access to in-network benefits through:
- Moda Select service areas in Idaho and Texas
- Affinity Network Service area in Oregon
- Aetna® PPO Network through the Aetna Signature Administrators® nationwide. This includes service areas outside the Moda Select Network in Idaho, Texas, and outside the Affinity Network in Oregon. Starting in 2026, the Aetna® PPO Network will expand to cover all medically necessary services, not just urgent or emergent care.

Pharmacy benefits
The Navitus Network includes access to over 87% of pharmacies in Alaska and 62,000 pharmacies nationwide. This means you can fill prescriptions almost anywhere, including these local and national drug store chains:- Carrs

Our network of dental care providers offers you the freedom to choose your own dentist, fast and accurate claims payment, and cost savings by staying in-network.
Delta Dental Premier is the largest dental network in Alaska and one of the largest networks across the country. Almost 70% of dentists in Alaska and more than 152,000 dentists nationwide are covered. All Alaska residents are eligible to select plans featuring the Delta Dental Premier network.
The Delta Dental PPO network includes over 230 participating providers in Alaska and offers access to over 114,000 Delta Dental PPO dentists nationwide. Residents of Anchorage, the Mat-Su Valley and Fairbanks North Star Borough are eligible to select plans featuring the Delta Dental PPO network.

Impacted by Medicaid eligibility changes?
Medicaid redetermination is when the state checks to see if you still qualify for Medicaid. If you no longer qualify for Medicaid because of a redetermination, you may find affordable coverage through a subsidized ACA Marketplace plan.
